1. About This Website

This website is operated by Nuno Pereira DVM MSc CertAVP (VC) DipECVIM-CA. By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Online Services

This website offers two online services: (a) the 90-minute Online Cardiology Consultation, a video consultation exclusively intended for discussing dogs with cardiac conditions who are being evaluated for surgery; and (b) the Cardiology Second Opinion — Written Report, a written review of existing clinical records for dogs and cats with a cardiac question. Neither is a general veterinary or primary care service.

​Both services are for informational and advisory purposes only. They do not replace an in-person veterinary examination, diagnosis, or treatment plan. Recommendations provided are based solely on the information and materials shared by the client. The written report is based on records only; no physical examination is performed.

3. Bookings & Payment

All bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment. Payment is processed securely via Wix Payments. By completing a booking, you agree to these terms. For the written second opinion, the date and time you book is the report delivery date, and complete records must be sent by email at least 3 working days before that date.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Online consultation: all consultation fees are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, please do so at least 48 hours before your scheduled session. Rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours in advance may not be accommodated.

Written second opinion: fees are non-refundable once your records have been reviewed. The report is delivered by email on the booked date, provided complete records were received at least 3 working days before; if records arrive later, the delivery date moves accordingly. To change the delivery date, please contact us at least 48 hours before it.

5. Emergencies

This service is not suitable for emergencies. If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening situation, contact your nearest emergency veterinary clinic immediately.

6. Limitation of Liability

Nuno Pereira shall not be liable for any actions taken based on the information provided during a consultation or in a written report. All advice is given in good faith based on the information available at the time of the consultation or report.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and design, is the property of Nuno Pereira and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of this website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
