Cardiology Second Opinion — Written Report

Service Description

Please note: this is a written report, not a call or video consultation. The date and time you book is the date your report is delivered by email, and complete records must reach me at least 3 working days before that date. Has your dog or cat been diagnosed with a heart condition, and you want to be sure the diagnosis and treatment plan are right? I review the complete case — echocardiogram, ECG or Holter, X-rays, blood results and clinical history — and send you a clear written report. The report covers: • Whether the diagnosis and disease stage are supported by the tests • Whether the current medication and doses are appropriate • What to monitor at home and the warning signs to watch for • When to recheck, and which tests are worth doing next • Answers to up to 5 written questions you send with the records Common reasons for a second opinion: heart murmur, mitral valve disease (MMVD), dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in cats, arrhythmias, congenital heart disease, congestive heart failure, or a cardiac question before anaesthesia. How it works: 1. Book and pay online. The date and time you choose is your report delivery date. 2. Email the records to nunopereira.vet@gmail.com — echo videos/images, ECG/Holter, X-rays, bloods and your vet's notes. 3. Receive your written report by email on the delivery date. Please choose a delivery date at least 3 working days after you can send complete records. If records arrive late, the delivery date moves accordingly. Reviewed by Dr. Nuno Pereira, DVM MSc DipECVIM-CA, European board-certified veterinary cardiologist. This is a records-based advisory review; it does not replace an in-person examination by your own veterinarian. Fees are non-refundable once records have been reviewed.
